One of my favorite things at Christmas
Several years ago Vicky made this Precious Moments Nativity scene in ceramics. She gave it to me because I love Precious Moments figures. They just are so sweet and innocent looking. This Nativity scene is probably my favorite thing to put out when we decorate for Christmas. I like to wait until the house is quiet. So today while the kids were at school and Joe is at work, I decided it was time to put it out. I love looking at each piece as I put it out, it is just special to me and even more special because Vicky made it.

Every Christmas I would dress up Dog in a Santa Hat or her Christmas bandanna. She would give me this look like "please don't make me wear that again this year" but would tolerate it. She was just such a good dog. So as we unpacked all the Christmas stuff we came across her bandanna and stocking, man we miss her so much! It is hard to believe that she has been gone for 10 months now and that the hurt that we feel is still so fresh some days!
Now here is Jack, he probably can't wait to see what Christmas is all about. So far he is leaving the decorations and tree alone. I am not too sure that we will even put the presents under the tree at all. Jack seems to think that when we leave him home alone that he should taste, shred, and destroy anything that even looks like it might be paper! We have lost a few good books, some semi- important papers, etc to his desire to destroy paper. Hopefully someday soon Jack will outgrow his love of paper.

Here's some pict's of the new Job.
This is what it starts out as. A big pile of stumps, logs, and various other nast things.
After a short trip through this machine.
It becomes my problem....
After a couple hour drive to the mill it's back for another load.
I'll post some picts of the dumping process later.

Spring time in the North West
I woke up at 4:30 to a snowy morning for the second day in a row. Only today it never stopped. The pic of the snowy trees was at around 10 or so wih a couple inches already on the ground. The snowman was captured at around 1:30, at least some one is enjoying our spring weather.
This was also about the time Heidi threatened me with the idea of possibly having to shovel or plow if it kept snowing.
